Just installed the Taco Vinyl Pro grill on my 2021 TRD Off Road. I got the specific one to make sure it has the cutout for the adaptive cruise control underneath. Issue was when i went to reattach the upper painted piece above the grill. It just didn’t fit right. It took some maneuvering to get all the clips to squeeze in but now i have significant gaps on the sides where that upper painted trim area meets the rest of the bumper. I’ve contacted them for any helpful tips but no response. Has anyone used their kit or had any luck with it. I just want it to fit right.

Any way you can post up some pics? I ordered from them as well since Feb but still have not received it since mine has custom painting and wiring.
I don't think the OP is referring to the middle cover with TOYOTA on it, but the painted grille surround above that.
It sounds like the upper replacement grille doesn't fit right.
I had fitment issues with their grill as well, even after taking off the top section and aligning the three indentation, the grill still had gaps on both sides. The bottom right and left corners won’t stay in place, they are coming undone so I added more 3M VHB tape. Didn’t help, grill still won’t stay put in those areas.
That being said, their customer service is horrible. I ordered a set of raptor lights with my grill, was sent the wrong one and no fuse adapter so I messaged them on social right away. Was told they would send me a replacement for free and I could keep the old ones, days pass no answer. DM them again, no answer. I email them and finally get a response saying that there was a miscommunication and the owner shipped them out a week ago. They never showed up. Contact them again, they finally say they’ll send me a new set but I have to send them the old set back, I show him the dms about the free set and he claims that was a different person handling the social dms and he won’t honor that. That’s been my experience with them, never doing business with them again. I’ll be taking this grill off and going with a TSO or OEM grill.

I actually just put mine on this week and I know exactly what you’re referring to. Luckily, I did take pics of the front end prior to the install, and honestly, it looks to me as if the gaps were there all along - I just never paid any attention to them. As far as I’m concerned, I’ve got that top piece in there as properly as it was before.
Update, Taco Vinyl got back to me. They recommended i use a dremel tool to grind down the top area of the shroud or the big black cover piece that goes over the central piece that the Toyota emblem sits on. I will be attempting this over the weekend so I’ll post some results later.

Apparently a few of us have had bad Customer Service from them.
I know they are a new company and have growing pains but... Ooof
I ordered February 17th. Feb 25th I asked what the lead time was and got an answer of 2 week lead time.
March 11th... Asked for update and they said they are hoping to ship it March 15/16.. I hear nothing on March 15th/16th
March 18th I asked for status update... They ran out when it got to mine.. when it was supposedly being painted at least in February... how does this happen? Anyways 1-2 weeks till they get new shipment. But my letters are already painted and ready to go. I was offered free compensation in a decal or patch for the troubles.. so I picked one.
Today I asked about the status again... and also mention decal again.. then I get an invoice on that decal... I'll keep you posted if they retract this. Also this week will be the 6th week. At this point I really want to just cancel.
Edit: They have removed the additional invoice for the decal.
Please make your own judgements...

I still haven't received mine yet, they sent me a tracking number last Thursday, but it hasn't really been shipped, still says USPS awaiting item.

Email them. They have been getting back to me on email. They said mine will ship tomorrow.. we'll see.
Hopefully yours will really be shipped tomorrow too as they got a new batch in and possibly are packing a bunch of orders up to be picked up tomorrow.
Does anyone know of any other companies that make this part for the newer 4Runners with the sensors in the grill. I’m getting fed up with fidgeting with this one and i just want one that fits right that i don’t have to modify myself. I installed this on the first day i got my 4Runner and it’s muddied the new car experience for me. Very disappointed in this product and company.

Looks like I got slotted in the same boat as you did previously.. I got a tracking number but nothing went out.
I definitely don't recommend TacoVinyl at this point.

TSO makes good TRD Pro grill too. I bought a cheap ebay one for my 2016 and it worked fine, there was a 1/2 inch gap on each side, but it wasn't noticeable unless you looked.
I bought another ebay one for my 2018 and I had the same issue, the gaps on each side of the garnish are like an inch and very noticeable. The shape wouldn't fit over the middle part and it would pop out. I used heat gun to finally fit it, but the gaps over sliver were just terrible. So I removed it and tossed it, except the top grill part. That fit, and you can get TSO garnish for a better price without the grill.

This is the 7th week for me.. I am giving them until the end of the day. I will be calling my CC to cancel and do a chargeback tomorrow morning.

At this point if anyone wants one to look good I think the OEM is the right choice. I went with a Car Trim and it fit poorly, the locating tabs for the TSS sensor and the upper portion didn't really work together. Plus it appears they widened it to remove some of the gap. Mine was super tight but once you pull that tape you're kind of committed. I also broke two of the plastic clips on the upper grille insert trying to get it all snapped in. Lasted about a day and ripped it all off.

Some people are willing for poor fit to save some money.
I wished I did some research on Taco Vinyl... Apparently they are shipping mine out today after I threatened to cancel via CC.
we'll see if it fits ok. But in hindsight I agree with going OEM for no hassle install, quicker shipping, and perfect fitment.
