I had a Pelican 100 too! haha. But I had to sell it to pay to fix my A/C in the Runner. Kinda miss it now! :crybaby: Definitely going to upgrade for my next kayak, though.:surfer:

I will definitely admit they are very stable crafts. You can practically stand up in one and it won't tip. But paddling that across the big lakes here in NJ/NY would take you a year. Craigslist is your best friend for finding a good used kayak. I happened to luck out when one of the doctors I work with decided to move to Canada and not take her boats with her. 2 kayaks, paddles, PFD's, and foam roof blocks for $500. :jump::tongue:

Thanks. This was absolutely my first time out on one. I self taught with the help of some youtube videos. I was debating getting a smaller scull but this was the best one I could find for the money. Expensive ass sport!!! I have been out on it 3 times since sunday and I was able to row most of the lake by last night. Definitely a tough sport too!
