Probably nothing but..... all the toyotas i have drivin when you turn the headlights on then turn the car off and get out they turn off automatically and so when you get back in they are still on... but my 96 4runner doesnt do that makes you turn the lights off.. any ideas ? if thats common any idea on how i can switch it so it does just turn off like i want it too??

do you have DRL? if not then that option may have only comes with the DRL's if you do have them then im not sure as to why but im sure you can find a mod somewhere on here where someone addresses that.
