Problem with active traction control system

Hi guys I'v been having an issue with my 4 Runner. Sometimes when I press the gas pedal lightly the car will staule and this light flashes on and off and the car does not move for a few seconds . Then I press on the brake and then the gas pedal and the car starts driving normal again. Does anyone have any idea what this may be? Thanks

sounds like youre having a speed sensor malfunction. sometimes the wires get wet or get mud stuck in them, they are easy to inspect. I have the traction control come on every once and while if i do a hard high speed corner to the point of being uncomfortably fast. I leave it on when im offroading because it will keep you from drifting out on a dirt road.
