Got in my car today and the display in the radio wasn't showing up. The cd I had in was still playing. I used the steering wheel controls to flip it to the radio, so everything still works. Display came back on after 2-3 min, but has a weird box next to the numerical station. Any idea what this is?

I thought the heat might have something to do with it, but its "only" around 93 today. I turned the car and went to eat lunch. Came back out about 30 min later and it did the same thing.

it may only be 93 outside, but it gets a lot hotter inside the car, especially in direct sunlight.

Mine goes blank and the controls wont work. If I tap the screen the screen comes back on and I can use the controls again. Kinda weird but I dont want to change the stock head unit yet.

Mine I think has had the box before, but a lot of times I will get just a bunch of lines across the screen where the letters are suppose to be but it's just dark lines and my radio won't work sometimes when this happens. Also, it randomly ejects CD's when it does this as well. It's sporadic so who knows I just mess with it till it goes away.

I never saw the box, but this is the best method to reset, try turning the key while the truck is on to restart the radio, and see if the box comes back

When mine does it, it goes full dumb or dumber and the whole screen is boxes.
