Problems removing door panel

So I'm trying to throw some infinity's in the front door panels & I'm :redbrick:

I got the master install sheet from Crutchfield & it has really helped but I'm getting hung up on one part. When removing the door release assembly the instructions say to rotate the linkage clip & disconnect linkage rod. Well I can't seem to do any of this without fear of snapping the clip which would leave the linkage rod inoperable which in turn means no inside door handle.

So before I break something does anyone have any tips on how to tackle this?

The door handles are held in place by two prongs that slide horizontally into their holders. You have to slide the release assembly straight rearward (or maybe it's forward....dang I don't remember). After you slide it, it'll come free and you can move it around and disconnect the linkage without breaking anything.

You can slip the latch through the hole in the door panel if you twist it a little.

dont for get the 2 screws under the arm rest and unplug the switches the rest is all clips

You can slip the latch through the hole in the door panel if you twist it a little.

I always unclip/unscrew everything then slide the latch FORWARD then twist the panel so the handle slide through and its off. No need to undo the linkage rod

Yeah, that's what I meant, I didn't disconnect the linkage either.
