The price that mlopez shows is the "msrp" price whereas the price you have is an online price that is discounted from the msrp. If you want into a toy dealership the price you will be quoted is msrp.

Some online retailers sell at a discounted rate for online customers vs instore customers. I suspect this is the price diffrerence that you see.

Shop around as I'm sure you'll find other online shops selling it for a more competative price :)

good luck

good times, well ya i know that there will be diff prices but i dont understand why the other guy has different numbers for the part. if i order this i dont want some other lamp, i just want to make sure that it the same headlight.

81130-35470 192.63
81170-35450 192.63
81125-35440 34.78 FOR TWO, THESE ARE THE WIRE LOOM FOR MARKER AND DAYTIME LIGHT LET ME KNOW WHO IS INTERESTED ALSO ADD 8% TAX

Oops I didn't even see that! Good catch!

The part numbers that I have which are:

81130-35440 - Head light
81170-35420 - Head light
81125-35440 - Cord

Those are must haves according to the diagrams.

Here are some other items that you may need (I'm guessing only the H11 bulb if you plan to use the H11's. If you're going HID I guess you don't need em). The other two are the city lights (which you can just use your existing one) and the hibeam lights which is the same one from your old one.

90080-81041 - Bulb (need two)
90981-13075 - Bulb (need two)
90981-15012 - Bulb (need two)

I'm guessing mlopez prob got copied over the wrong number as they're similar to eachother.

Edit:

Actually Mlopez is also correct on the housing numbers. There are two different housing on the 4runners. That is why there is two different numbers. One is chrome (the part number I list) which is the same as the 03-05 SR5 headlight, the other is darker I believe for the SE model. Check the toy lot to get a better picture.

I have installed the 2006 head lamps into my 2005 4runner. you will need to buy the garnish that goes under the head lamp, the low beam bulbs are different, they are h11 bulb's. Which will make the connector for the bulb different. The marker light is also different, so you will need to buy the different loom and rewire, since the 2006 has two bulbs. Daytime lights are in head light now. I went ahead and bought philip hid conversion kit, and eliminated connector problem. but the do fit and they look great

Is it possible for you to post a picture of the beam pattern on a wall for your projector headlight?

mlopez61,
Looking at different options to fill the void. Can you take a closeup pic of the triangle area (between where the garnish ends and the grill doesn't meet?) Is the garnish insert below the headlight metal or plastic? Prepainted or primed? How is it held in place?

Damn, I had a feeling this was possible. I like the way the new 06 headlights looked and felt that if I could just get my hands on the headlights and the garnish, it would fit. Regardless of that little gap, it still looks pretty damn nice. I'm assuming in order for this to work, you have to cut and solder on a new connector since the headlight bulbs are different?

One thing that I haven't gotten is the "cord". What exactly will this do? There are still two holes in the headlight for me to fill...... one is big for the DRLs/turning and the smaller one is for.....????????

Does anyone have a picture of the headlights at night? 2006 only.

Sorry garage isn't deep enough take pics with both headlights. Another car sitting on the driveway and can't get back far enough to get both headlights.

thanks uneek.

since I already have DRL/signals with my fogs, I don't think i'll need the top DRL/signals... but i will get the cord to put in those marker/city lights.

No problem iFORCE. Wondering if I can add DRLs to mine with a simple relay swap like the '03-05s?

I'll take a picture of it up close later on.. but it really isn't bad at all. Just looking at the truck.. there is no way that anyone can tell at first glance.
