projector headlights with xenons VS HIDs

i hope this isnt a foolish question.

am a bit confused about this 2 systems. are they the same thing?. if they are not..pls whats the diff between the 2?.
i know hids require ballast and all, and that u cant flash ur headlights. but am about to pull the trigger on a blacked out angel eyes projector with xenons, seller wants about $414 for it, while doing a lil research i now stumbled on HIDS, so that got me confused...as xenons could be called hids too.

the projector xenon combo..would it require ballasts too, cos i learnt xenons require high voltage to come on too

I have HID projectors but even I didn't know the exact answer. Don't delete!@

HID lights and HID xenon lights are the same thing. Both employ the inert gas, xenon, as the primary gas that replaces the filament in high intensity discharge light bulbs. Some halogen headlights use xenon for a bluish hue. The distinguishing feature of HID lights is their elimination of the filament necessary in halogen and other traditional light bulbs.

They are one in the same. Xenon bulbs are considered High Intensity Discharge HID lights.

am about pulling the trigger on a blacked out angel eyes projector headlight assy, with the option of paying extra $160 for xenons.......am wondering if its worth it..or i should just stick to halogens?

note got a$1000 quote for a profeesional retrofit and black out job, a lil too rich for me now..so am thinking of going the cheapie route

i never like that cheap cheesy look on those aftermarket housing, infact they have some bad projectors, take some advice from owners with retrofit, it might cost alot, but in the end its worth it, do it yourself, it should be simple if you have the patience to mod. i did my own retrofit, first with the bolt on, then i wanted more and try something better, and end result was i used the better projector and it was the best thing i did, not to hard if you understand wat is needed to do. buy an extra set of lights, those accident one, and practice modding.
