Proline bumper issues - beware

Guys,

I feel need to share my 8-9 month long nightmare with Proline Elite rear bumper,

Missing lights - paid never delivered
Missing front runner table - paid never delivered
Missing Hi-lift mount - offered for free due to issues. Never delivered
Missing compressor mount - offered for free due to issues. Never delivered.

8 month order cycle. Estimate was 4-6 weeks. Was supposed to pickup in Doral in mid-March. Did not ship until mid-Sept.
Powder coat is bad. Several bare spots.
1” Spindle. Website stated 1-3/4. Delay was due to wait for better spindle. They shipped cheaper model without discussing.
Cheap stamped steel spindle cap. Machined cap on old spindle is much nicer.
Tire swingout has fitment issues quite flimsy.
Receiver drop has fitment issues
Fitment to frame, body, doors is not top,tier. Hammer is required.
Spare tire swingout is horrible. You must lift tire to latch. Tons of highway vibrations. .
Install took 8 extra hours vs estimate due to fitment issues. Had to have fabricator install.

I strongly recommend that folks never consider this company. They are terrible.

FYI, they still haven’t sent missing items or replaced sub-par components.

Communiciations have dried up. Hoping they come through on 9 months of promises, but things don’t feel good.

Still no replies to any calls or emails. Front runner table and Rough Country lights were never shipped. Promises to ship missing and replace substandard parts have dried up.

I think I am screwed.

If you charged it to a card dispute the charges.

Contact the companies that they are distributing and let them know as well. I.e. Front Runner, Rough Country, etc.

Companies aren't happy when their distributors suck. Let them know.

And always buy with a credit card.

FYI,

My dealer refunded amounts for Rough Country LEDs and Front Runner table that never shipped. We waited for 10 months.

Fernando at Proline has not returned an email or phone call in 6-8 weeks. I m guessing that there offer to fix items and send a couple of freebies is off the table.

Here is a video shows issues in powder coat, spindles, missing crossmember, etc, Please forgive quality. I was fighting a cold and it was a bit windy.

That was intent. If you go to their Facebook page, you can see that I am not only one with issues.

Credit card company and PayPal will not refund amounts unless I ship bumper back. Old bumper has already been cut And discarded so I can’t really send back. I was hoping these guys would live up to their promises.

Agreed - it's part of my decision making process if I'm making a purchase. Hopefully the OP gets things squared away.

He has every right to say what he wishes here...its good to get a heads up when some vendor is screwing a forum member.

Sadly, that's the only rear bumper I wanted and liked...ain't happening now.

This whole forum is for information and I feel someone saying they have had numerous issues with a company a very legitimate thread. OP's post tells me to avoid Proline so I don't have to deal with the issues he has. Also you only have so many days to refund a purchase via a CC.

I don’t think you understand what forums are for... This seems like a legitimate issue and very useful information for potential buyers.
Also, these companies usually charge on order and not shipping so filing a dispute after 10months can be a pain.

Wow this really sucks, i have a proline front bumper. took a bit longer then estimate. i posted that somewhere.
what really sucks is how much rust i'm getting now. i had this installed about the same time as my demello sliders.. my sliders have 0 rust except the places i've scraped.

quality powder coat from proline.... NOPE!

OP--Thanks for making this post. I was in the market for a bumper as well but had heard about similar stories and I spoke to him openly about this--while he was decent, it didnt convince me to go ahead with an order.

Also, about the bumper being cut--I think CC would honor your claim if they fail to deliver what they committed to. Maybe check up with them again.

FYI, I have still not received any communications from Fernando. His last reply was in October’.

I have asked him to:
1. r4place spindles with those advertised. Supposedly reason I had to wait 9 months.
2. Fix spare tire swing arm. Design shipped did not Match website. New design lacks a crossmember and is lacks rigidity and long teen durability.
3. Hopefully swap,Tim bearing cap with the machined caps they used before.
4. Help with peeling powder coat. Swing outs had bare spots. Now they are peeling. Peeling began at 3 weeks.
5. Ship free items promised. Hil-lift mount and compressor mount.

I was able to get a refund on unshippee items- rough country lights and front runner table. I reordered and now have table and a pair of Di0de Dynamics instead
