Hey Skyline, did you have any problems putting the DVD player in the glovebox? I'm getting ready to do the same thing this weekend and just wanted to know if I was going to run into anything major.

I had to cut out the back of the upper glovebox to make the DVD player fit. But there was plenty of room back there, and you don't see this from below or from the front..

4Runna: I have amps placed (not mounted) under my front seats - and I just closed up those duct openings using a few layers of duct tape. It's a ghetto/temporary job, but it should work and noone sees it so I don't care.

Where did you get that plate to go around the DVD Player? did you make it? What did you mount the plastic plate to? any install pictures would be great. The model number of the player would be cool too!

The plate is a piece of thick blakck plastic, and I cut it out myself. I will get back to you on the model number. As far as mounting the plate, there was a bit of a lip around the area, so I just cut the piece to an exact fit and wedged it in. It has never been a problem.

Can you close that cover in the glove box so the DVD player is hidden? If someone didn't know that little compartment existed they would never know it was there. I didn't realize it was there until about 6 months after i bought my runner. then if someone breaks in they won't see it when they open the glove box.
