Pros and Cons between OME 881/890 and Toytec Boss

Thanks guys for the help. I'll definitely be checking into the other brands for sure now that you have shed some light on this subject. Since I'm new to the "lifting" world it's good to know what is better through experience, good or bad. This truck will bey daughter's first vehicle
I know she really won't be doing any off roading....yet
..Lol So at least for now the ride quality and setting her up for success if she chooses to do so is what I'm looking for along with a great stance.

I think I found my combo. Talked to both OME guys then Toytec again and here's what I came up with. Your input is appreciated. OME 2880's and 90004's for the front, then 2890's and 60073's for the rear. Gonna have Toytec do the front build as a unit for ease of assembly and so I get new mounting plates. Also gonna do SBC 25460 extended uca's for alignment ability. Should I get trim Packers for both passenger front and both rear too you think? Plus extended brake lines. Will it give me the 3" lift I'm looking for or should I add a spacer as well to the front? This is all to purchase 33's under it. Maybe add a 1" body lift too to make sure?

For what it's worth on a 2000 v6 4wd I installed a nearly identical suspension, but used the 2880 instead of the 2881 in front. Especially unloaded it rides firmer than stock, but for my money it's not annoying. Unloaded there is about 22.5" hub to fender in the back and 21" hub to fender in the front. When I am carrying a load, which is pretty regularly, it rides really well and it remains much more level than a softer setup.

I'm running 255/70/17 tires, which are a bit bigger than stock and there's plenty of space around the tires. I imagine a 33" tire would fit, especially with 881s in the front, but I can't say for sure.

Did you change your uca's when you did yours to get caster back or did you not have to?

Travel remains the same. The ride quality is affected be preloading the spring more, but that is expected. I personally wouldn’t remove the cone bump stop without replacing the frame bump stop with a softer aftermarket one.

Thanks for the information. I left the OEM bump stops in. I'm really not going to be doing some heavy offroading so the travel is not that important to me, and I've just added a couple inches to my height anyways. In fact, I went from my very tired rear of 19.5" to about 23" from center hub to the top of my wheel well in the rear! It's awesome! Riding like a truck finally and not some lowered ride. The front end sits at about a half inch lower with the snap ring in place at position 2. I'm pretty happy with it so far. Now I just found some 2018 tacoma ted 17" wheels with the OEM destination tires with less than 500 miles on them!. I think it'll look pretty nice. Any chance you know anything about whether I'll be able to find a valve stem that will be compatible with that rim/tired for my 2002 4runner?
