The product that Baby's R Us sells is called "Prince Lionheart's Car Seat Protector." It is a weird name and I guess that is the point b/c I remebered it, right?!
It is a two piece set that velcro's together. One is for the base and the other is for when the kid gets a forward facing seat and protects both the bottom and back of the seat.
I think it was $19.99 but I think it will hold up much better than a towel would. It is fairly stiff and thick with a rubber type material on the top for spills and stuff. It extents about 4 inches past the base on both sides and has a flap that goes down over the seat where the back of your legs would go.
All in all, it seems like it is a pretty good product.

Our Graco booster seat suggests placing a towel under the seat to protect the car's interior in the manual. Given the threat of a product liability lawsuit, I wouldn't imagine there's too much concern about this method if they actually put it in writing in the directions.

The booster seat raises the child to properly fit when secured with a seat belt. This type of seat is not locked in solid with the latch system like a car seat, but is simply placed in the back seat and the child just puts the seat belt on.
The indentations in the leather is what I am trying to prevent.

They did not delay anything yet. Expected delivery date is still January 2007. I was told in about 3 more weeks, more detailed information may be available.JP4RNR said:If Toyota keeps delaying your delivery date of your 4Runner, then by the time you get your truck your children will maybe have outgrown the need for a booster seatbut I hope that's not the case
