Protecting leather from kids booster seats

Do you guys even have leather? We tried something like that for awhile before buying the proper protection. The leather seats still get some deep indentations with towels and such. The protector Toys-R-Us carries also protects the back of the seat behind the childseat (this will indent as well if the seat is very snug).

I put a towel under and behind mine, seats look as good as new. No indents or anything like that.

I picked up a couple of these for my 4runner and IS, thought they looked better than the prince lionheart.

I tried both brands and they will somewhat help protect the leather, but won't keep the base from sliding around (when properly installed, i believe the base shouldn't slide more than an inch with an infant seat). The onestephead pad had the sticky shelving material on the bottom to help keep the pad from sliding, but the base still slid around on the top part of the pad. No matter how tight I got the seatbelt on, the base still slid on the pad. I ended up using just a piece of the sticky shelving material to properly secure the base to the leather to keep it from sliding. I don't think there is any way to prevent the indentions with a properly installed car seat. I figure I can live with them knowing my son was secure.

The Prince Lionheart product absolutely prevents indentations.

I just put in the Prince Lionheart protector the other day. It has a tacky rubber underside (kinda like the rubber mats that go under floor rugs) to keep it from sliding around on the seat. It seem stiff enough that it will spread the contact force out to prevent indentations. The only gripe I have about it is that is really wide, so if you put it in the middle (where I put it as we have only 1 child right now) it will cover both of the other seats seatbelt latches. Can be a pain if you have people ride in the rear with the seat often. If so, you may want to look at other brands or the towel/noodle option.
