Has anybody seen the amount of sick, depraved individuals on PS4 Playroom? After many, many hours of research, I've come to the conclusion that Sony is leading the parade straight to hell! :reddance::frisky::jump:

Oh nooo! If only it was bratty 12yr olds. More like chicks getting naked, couples having sex, tons of drug use, guns, pervs, Japanese graveur... The list goes on... What's bad about it is that there's no parental control! Little Johnny's become Filthy McNasty! :eyebrows:

Do you as a parent have the ability to do a parental lock on this feature?

Not to sound like one of those guys but it is the parents responsibility to lock these features out if possible.

Unless the PS4 doesn't allow to lock those features which would be a mistake on Playstation's behalf.

There is no parental lock for twitch live stream. Ppl are getting banned left n right but PS4 can't keep up. My sons are both adults so they're free to watch what they want.

Here’s the list of things you can restrict:
Restrict games and applications that have age ratings
Restrict Blu-Ray™ movies that have age ratings
Restrict DVD movies that have age ratings
Disable Internet Browser
Prevent non-registered user log ins
Disable text, video, and voice chat messages
Block user-generated video and pictures
Restrict content displayed in the PlayStation Store
Set PlayStation Store spending limits

Also potentially disturbing, The Playroom. It comes pre-loaded on the PS4. Users who own the PlayStation 4’s camera can use it to capture video in their own living rooms, and share it across the PlayStation network. And anything goes! Those streams are also available to view, even if your parental controls are cranked up to the maximum limit. You may feel safe if you’ve disabled the Internet browser in parental controls. But Consumer Reports found that didn’t block the live-streamed video either.

Sony’s website does provide instructions for blocking the live stream or “user-generated” content. It involves setting up what Sony calls a sub-account for your child. Consumer Reports found that it wasn’t a very intuitive process. There are multiple steps, and it isn’t very clear.

I'm not a parent but some good friends of mine are and my opinion is all based off of how I see them handle things like this. Get your darn kids off of the indoor gaming BS and send them outside. Go play sports or go hiking. Go outside and play. My friends that are parents limit the amount of time their kids are allowed to play video games. Their kids have to do their chores AND homework in order to earn the wifi password of the day or to play their xbox or play station.

When I hear about this stuff it tells me that parents are being lazy and failing as parents.

I don't blame mcdonalds for people being fat and I don't blame sony for people being pervs online.

I agree with u 100% Jon. Parents are ultimately responsible for what the kids are allowed to see and do. All I was pointing out is that Sony makes this technology readily available to kids. And even if parents crank up the filters to the max setting, this crap still gets thru. I didn't allow my sons to play PS during the week. Only Friday evening and the weekend and only if all their chores were completed. It was also located in the den where we could see it. It's funny, my boys asked me once, "what kind of gaming system did u have when u were little dad?" I told them, "Schwinn". layball:
