Thanks for the heads up. I don't use CarPlay enough to spend the money on this, but I'm sure some people will definitely want it.

good to know. I was considering to install an aftermarket receiver just for this reason... I had an Alpine with wireless CarPlay in my last vehicle and don't think I can live without it now

Is it still working ok for you? Id love to have wireless Carplay for my 2020 but have seen mixed reviews on reliability of the adapters

Interesting and sweet product.
I was curious about when our lightning-USB 2.0 cable is outdated how d I use apple CarPlay.
Nice

Still working great for me. One time it didn’t connect but I think it was my fault, I unlocked the phone and made a call during the connection process which the CarPlay Adapter didn’t like apparently. Just unplugged the USB and plugged it back in, and it connected properly right away.

Very happy thus far.

I recently installed this wireless CarPlay adapter in my 2020 ORP.

It works exactly as advertised. No more need to plug the phone in every time to get CarPlay functionality. Great for short trips. For longer journeys I will likely revert back to plugging the phone in....unless I can find a good wireless charging solution.

Amazon.com: Carlinkit Wireless CarPlay Adapter for Volvo XC90 XC60 XC40 V90 2016-2020, Peugeot Chevrolet Honda Civic CR-V 2016-2019, Mazda CX-5 Artz 2017-2020, Hyundai, Convert Factory Wired CarPlay to Wireless

Does it matter which version? The Volvo one shows up in your link.

I was curious about which version as well. The white version is listed for those vehicles with wired-in Apple CarPlay already, but your Amazon link goes to the black version for the Volvo. I have a 2020 ORP as well.

I have a competing brand product and it works great. Wired CarPlay stinks. Wireless is awesome. My old Kenwood radio in my FJ was wireless. Hard to convert to the wired version. I like to have my phone free.

Just installed mine today based on your recommendation. Works perfectly out of the box for me! Thank you for posting this... Note I have a 2020 model and do not have any long term review of this. But so far so good! Virtually no menu lag :)

Glad to hear

So I had this installed for a few days. I love the fact it makes the Carplay piece wireless. Here is where I need some help. It seems to suck the battery out of my iphone 11 pretty quick. I hate the idea of have wires run all over the dash and or using a 12 volt plug.

Does anyone have any sleek ideas for having a charger and keeping the wireless carplay?

My plan is to purchase the dash panel from 2019 and below vehicles to replace ours. It has a single button sized opening that used to have the usb port and aux port.

I'll use the new opening for a switch for lights, and then use a usb extension to reroute the usb port to the center console and hide the carplay adapter there.

I also am looking at hiding a wireless charging coil in the center cubby, but I plan on getting a new iphone this year with the magsafe thing on the back. I can then VHB tape one of those chargers to the side of the console, dash, etc and throw my phone on there and it'll stay in place.

I would like to do the same because they changed the size of this opening. Might you happen to have an item number for this?
