Purely Opinion: What Would you do?

Hey I got a 3.5 inch spacer lift with 5100’s for sale, only has about 1000 miles on it since it rode like a tank and screws the cv angles so back they bound and bucked at full droop... ended up replacing the UCAs from the kit and installed a coil over after wasting time and money on the spacer lift. Save the money and spend more later for a long term kick ass adjustable setup. Just sayin

Lets assume you have a TRDP, lets also assume you can't leave shit alone. Lets also assume you're not interested in cutting.

What suspension set up would you run? Before anyone flames this, Ive looked and theres pros and cons to them all.

What set up would you guys run, assuming you see more mud than rock, snow more than water. So I gotta go up.

Came back to a 4runner from a Range Rover. Im only here because I love them. I don't need the added stress of gadgetry, although a LC would be a lot more dependable than the RR was.

Youd think, but I bought the TRDP more for the "vin" (thats not specific to TRDP's) than any other reason. I was after the resale potential. Especially after taking a bath on a RR last. I wanted Rarity, but lets be real toyota doesn't do rare. Theres now a cement around the corner from me lol.

Fawk it - go outside the box. Buy a bracket lift from fabtech or ? - but instead of going to a 6 inch lift - set the coilovers at zero. That would net you a true 3 inch lift with a new range of motion for the front tires. With that you can probably run 34 or 35" tires without major rubbing, and without cutting. Then go with a full 3" height rear lift.

After driving back to back - I'd probably buy Icon shocks unless you are going to have the Fox set re-valved. Lots of shops will custom tune them if before shipping. My experience is that the Fox 2.5's are pretty good. The fox 2.0's are kinda firm, and the Icon's are goldilocks - just right. I can argue all day about why Fox uses better materials, but the ICON default dampening is the best I've driven.

I'd leave it alone for a while. You paid the money for it, enjoy it. Spend the money on other things.
