Putting lift kit on/ new to form

Hey y'all. New to the site an living out side redding. I have a stock 98 limited 4 runner looking to put the ultimate toyotec lift kit on. Any recommendations for places to install? Or any mechanically savey people wanna help?! Also looking at the Andy mod. I could be wrong but I seems my 98 has no trac/ vsc? So I'm all good? After all that fun stuff is on looking to do some outings hit some trails!

If you want to cruise to chico I got a shop that can do it for ya. Same shop I built mine at. 98's don't have vsc.. it came on the 99-02's iirc. somewhere in those years.

Yup the rear locker has come in handy a couple times. Just finished taking off my running boards! It looks pretty sweet. So what's up with the shop in Chico? Name? Any idea what they charged to do the lift kit? Also I noticed the kit dose not have a panhard bar, upper control arm is extra .... Are those less necessary?

The shop is called MP's Custom's. I'll go down there and ask a price Monday morning for ya. He has a really low hourly rate and does awesome work. I'll prob end up working on it as well if you choose to take it there. You don't need to upgrade the panhard or UCA's etc.. maybe just your lower ball joints. Toytec ultimate with the adjustable coilovers for the front and the superflex for the rear? Or the 891's?

I don't have the parts yet. Ima order it soon. Have to figure out what days ima be free to do all this. Later November I hope. Living in the back county now. Any other imput on a lift kit, or for the price that set up will be nice. Also I do wanna get a arb Delux bar! Would it be beneficial to have that in first to be able to level out the runner nicely? You'll be fine with a 600# up front especially if you're getting the coilovers. If you get the ARB deluxe bar, you'll need some modifications to make it flush to the body after a body lift. But you don't need a body lift. Just grab the toytec ultimate, it's more than enough to clear 33's. Then you can run the ARB bumper with no mods. I don't know shit about the ARB deluxe bar, so make sure it's for a 96-02 4runner.

Cool ima order the lift kit this week. Yeah I did not find arb in my year 4runner. Saw shockworks brand front end. It's tempting me to splurge.... But yeah I guess I'll hear from you tomorrow about the quote.

Welcome to the forum Billcats! Rob (DP11) is a cool guy. I'm glad he got to the "don't do the body lift" before I did. You want to keep the center of gravity as low as possible. I've been running this Toytec lift for a few years now. Make sure you go with Bilstien shocks. If you carry a lot of cargo in the back and the SuperFlex coils aren't enough, Toytec also sells 1.5" spacers.

Were doing a run to Gold Lake this Saturday and Sunday Nov 9-10. Your more than welcome to come along.

LOL, it's kool bro. Got my sister coming in from Modesto, and I might decide to put these gusset steering knuckles on this weekend, nice weather for it.

After talking to Mien, might try that Ruby next year with you all, I learned how to manipulate myself with them sliders now with minimal carnage.
Just not going to be able to fly through it like the rest of you can.

Thanks for the imput Jon. Definitely going with toyotec coil overs an super flex 5100 in back. Going to order in in the next couple days! Man I would totally like to come but can't make it this time. Thanks for the info, after I get this lift I'm going to be looking to hit some spots wih you guys. Got the deck plate gunna do that soon.
