So my girlfriend got me the python remote starter for Vday :)
I am getting it installed next friday but I was wondering if I should be worried about connections in the future? I do a good amount of offroading and things deffinatly get very muddy. Im pretty hard on the 4runner and Im kind of worried about them cutting into the wiring harness and then me having major problems down the road.

Professional work should be OK. You may want to ask them to solder the connections in case they normally don't. But they usually tie down the connections so they dont move much anyway. No different than your current electrical having problems...

Definitely make them solder the connections. If she bought a python, she probably bought it at circuit city and they usually solder the connections. I work at best buy and my bay doesn't solder. Just request it, and make sure you have a good installer. So it's not a rat's nest. More like a sneaky stealth install.

wow, careful who you tell that your bay doen't solder. It;s under Best Buy's policies that we solder and tape...you could get fired for not soldering. I fired a few installers that tried to t-tap a few RS/alarm installs. But yes, make sure to solder, and ask if they can hide the brain up under the dash, right behind the center vents. There is a ton of room under there...

Install is finally done. Havent gotten a chance to look at it in the light to see if they did hide everything but I love the looks on peoples faces when a car starts next to them with nobody around it.
