Do you have a wiring diagram?
Lets say I want to do the same thing but only to my lowbeams, do I just ignore the wires on the projector housings completely?

is it me, or do i see that u didnt put on that plastic cover lens back on the signal and parking light. must wanted to remove the amber reflectors i see.

I did a custom wiring harness where I took one output from the factory body harness and relayed it into four outputs for the each projector. I then took the bixenon solenoid wires and wired each headlight's pair to a 9005 male connector. This is what activates the solenoids for the high beam function.

You're right, I left that plastic cover off. I personally like it much better like this. Seems 'cleaner'.
So what did Lightwerkz do? do they do retrofits for you? how does that work, how much?

@ Liqourish - I do have the LED relay installed. I did that like three years ago. The LED's under the projector I got from v-leds and they're the high output singles with the heatsink.
@ BigEd - Lightwerkz didn't do anything, I don't think I even mentioned them in this thread. I did it all myself. The housings I got off of Rock Auto are made by TYC. I think they were like $125/ea. As far as the Sport / SR5-Limited housings go it didn't matter to me as I was going to paint my bezels.

New Member, new owner of a used 07 4Runner. First mod that needs to be done is lighting.
I was wondering if you remember which brand/manufacturer for the headlights you ordered from RockAuto? There's TYC and various manufacturer are the only options, my guess is the TYC?
Really appreciate you posting this up, very helpful.

Did you find the fitment of the TYC is very close to stock? Bought used 07 4Runner, the headlights have some moisture on them, so I'd like to purchase a set to be retrofitted.

Mike, I saw most of the photos before the links were broken, but I don't remember seeing anything about where you mounted the ballasts. Curious where you mounted them.
Anyone else know if it's OK to bake the ballasts (Morimotos) with the headlamp if the ballasts was mounted on it? I'm thinking of mounting them to the bottom of the headlamp, but the screw head would have to be inside the headlamp.

mount the ballast on the fender, so if anything bad happen to the ballast, you can easily trouble shoot.

That's where they are on the driver side, but when adding a second set of ballasts, room starts running out quickly.
Passenger side is no problem.
Passenger side is no problem.
