Questin about land cruiser coils??

So I'm thinking about this and tell me what you think:

1) Land Cruiser 8 wrap rear coils (about 4.5" or 3.5" after settled, from what I've read?) About $100
2) Toytec/Eibach front coils (about 3") About $100
3) And 2008 Tundra TRD shocks (front and rear) About $100

Bad ass lift for about $300?

Would I need a diff drop? Anything else? Brakes lines? Any thoughts? Any advice?

shocks won't work.

yes get the diff drop.

brake line isn't required if you bend the mounting tab down

read the suspension sticky

if you are going to spend the money on a lift, spend it once and do it right.

I wish I could go big steezemcqueen, but I'm on a budget. Moving half way across the county in a month, my brother's wedding in 2 months, my wife's college (out of pocket) :violin:

I want to get about 3 inches of suspension lift for less than $300. And that's including shocks.

Do you think front and rear coils from an LC would just fit on my front and rear for a nice over-all lift? I ask because I found a guy on CL selling all four coils for $80.

Why wouldn't the Tundra TRD shocks work with my 4Runner and LC coils?

I have a question: I have a 98' 4Runner SR5 2WD & I'm looking to put new shocks & springs all the way around. What would be a good route to take as far as an upgrade for a height difference & smoother ride difference. Factory Tacoma, Sequoia, Land Cruiser? Thanks!

Also, I put on a 2 " leveling kit in the front a few months ago, since then I thought about installing Tacoma, Land Cruiser, etc. shocks & coils all the way around.

Noob question...

The springs I got were the OME 851's. I paid $40 from a wrecking yard. You will have no hope of leveling the front with these, as they are a 2" lift for the LC. However, if you offroad as hard as I do, you will need the additional rake for clearance.

So, I have a '97 4runner and I want to put the FJ80 coils on my rig, but what should I do to the front?

If the coils give me a 3" lift in the rear, what do you suggest I do for the front?
