Just a quick brief on what's going on. I just noticed that the foam surround in my 10" JL Audio sub is torn and I have pieces inside the grill. My question is, is it worth it to fix and refoam the surround or just buy a whole new cheap sub, ie. the NVX NSW104V2? It'll cost about the same price point, around $50ish to either fix the foam surround or buy the new entry level sub.
I can't spend too much on the sub since I just spent a whole bunch of money to upgrade the wife's stereo and sound system. Plus, I'm thinking of upgrading my old Phoenix Gold Octane R 2.5.2 amp to a bit more up to date amp. I was looking into the PPI Ion i450.1 amp. Again, not looking to spend too much.
