Question for Canadian owners on mileage

What sort of average km's do you get for a tank of gas? Is there much variation in the winter to the summer months? Did mileage get noticeably better after some many Kms of break in time? Thanks

I filled up tank yesterday, computer showed 572 km range and 13.1 l/100km average consumption. My mileage lately is about 30% highway. I bought my SR5 in end of August, I remember that I was getting better mileage last fall, computer showed 11-12 l/100km

I'm getting around 14.5/14.4; we have had ours for about 5-6 weeks. This is during a cold cold winter, I am anticipating it getting a little better as the weather warms up. T4R Limited with 3rd row.

Exactly as same as mine. I got my Limited w/ 3rd row on Feb 1st, 2011, 1700km on it, and the AVG is 14.4-14.5. I do believe it's because of the cold weather. I got -30°C displayed last week.:ybrick:

It will improve as weather warms. 80 litre tank at $1.22/litre = $97.60 for about 550-600 kms.

Yes, everything is stock, no mods so far.

I wish, wish, wish my US 4RTE came with a "go metric" button. It's not hard to add, it would save Toyota money because they'd have to build just one software image for computers that drive the displays and it would make life so much simpler for us transplants.

I order my 2010 Trail in April of 2010. When I picked it up I was getting 550-575 km per 80L. When I fill up now I am lucky to get 500km per 80L. I thought as your km went up you where breaking the engine in so you should get better gas mileage. Mine right now says that I get 13.1 per 100L. Yes it is cold here, but what the heck.

Block heater is a $150 dealer option. Yes, metric/imperial function would make a lot of sense.

is everybody seeing a dip in mileage with the motor breaking in? Seems sort of backwards here?

Mileage goes down in the winter. In the summer time, i averaged about 12.1L/100km (670km per tank).

In the winter, I get about 15L/100km (520km per tank).

winter set affecting the usage

I average about 15.6L/100km running on a set of winters. Mind you, lately, mostly city driving. Can't wait till the summer comes along and get 12L/100km.
