Question for Installation of Pioneer Z1? HELP!

1. I need to know where the speed sensor wire is.
2. Is there anyway to get mp3's stored onto hard drive there HAS to be a way?
3. Is there anyway to change routes while driving?
4. Where does everyone mount their XM radio antenna? Mine is on the dash and I get a lot of interruption (Loss of signal) while driving.
5. Where you you ground the parking brake?

1.) Not sure what year you are talking about, but on a 2003/2005 the easiest place to get at the VSS wire is right behind the A/C controls. There is a big junction block covered in electrical tape, carefully remove the tape and look for the black connector. Tap into any of the purple wires that have a red stripe. 2.) Not the I have seen.


3.) Yes, if you do the bypass. When you first turn on the car and you see the "Starting Pioneer Navigation..." or whatever it says, flash your headlights a couple times. This will unlock all features while driving.


4.) Mine is mounted on the roof just above to to the right of the passenger's head, the cable is running under the weatherstriping on the side of the windshield.


5.) If you do the bypass it doesn't matter what the parking brake is connected to, or if it is even connected at all. My installer grouned the parking brake behind the driver side kickpanel.
