Question for the experts.

Hi all,

I have a mechanic doing some work on the truck, and figured why I am doing the other work, why not replace my damaged front bumper.

With that said, can I use a 1998 bumper on a 2000? And if so, will this one suffice or is it missing parts?

96-98 have a different, more low-profile front bumper than the 99-02 models. They are not cross compatible without extra work. They added crash boxes to the front bumper after 98 which results in what you might see referred to as the "fat lip" bumper. You would have to remove these safety features to use the bumper pieces you linked.

We would need to know more - what is damaged on your bumper, what trim is your 4Runner? Pictures would be most helpful...
