Thanks again! Last winter did not have much use for 4WD, but the first time I tried to use it I had a tough time getting it to engage. I think it was from not using it. Since then, at least one a month whenever it rained or snowed, I made a point to engage it once or twice. This winter I had no problem. That was 4H. I want to do the same thing for 4L now that we have some snow on the ground. But I will only engage it and drive slowly on a snow covered parking lot just to give it some use. I understand that you should not go over 30 mph in 4L? I remember hearing that in the snow, 4L should only be used if you get stuck and can't get out??? Would there be any reason to drive with 4L on snowy or icy roads or should 4H be used for this? I don't take the 4runner off road at all.
