Question on negotiating a V6 4x4 Sport

btw folks reading this, do not spend your hard earned $ on any type of clear bra for a T4R, it's a truck! atleast not on a dark vehicle, it shows too easily.

Instead spend a little more & get the ARB type bumpers, folks will probably wanna get outta the way if they see that in their rear view

Actually one of the first things I plan to do is Ventureshield that bizznatch. The red it doesn't look as bad. They had it done at my local dealer that had the red V8 and you could barely tell it was there. And there is NO way I'm driving this thing too and from Tahoe without one. My Audis(tho they have VERY soft paint) got chipped to hell and my 08 GTI already has dings as I commute quite a ways. Plus...I'm VERY anal about keeping my cars clean and detail quite often. As long as you get some good plastic cleaner like Plexus you will never know it's there. On some colors like black, yes...but the red it's hard to tell which I was happy about.

And as for the ARB bumpers. I really have no need for one. And to me they make the front look snubby or like those old boats the Army/Navy used to drive up on shore and let troops out of. Yes, they serve a purpose for TRUE off roaders but I don't do that since I sold my 00 Tundra. This car is for Tahoe runs in the winter, lake runs in the summer, and towing my TR4 (once it's restored) and a pop up trailer for camping.

Snowboard...but I didn't get up at all last year. Just didn't have the time. And who knows what this year looks like. Makes it tough when I work in the Bay during the week. I just want to be home on the weekends to just relax. But I think I may go back to skiing as I enjoyed that more.

But if I do go, it'll be Northstar as I have two buddies that have cabins there.

No purchase....yet. Still negotiating and they are bing a PITA to work with. You THINK they'd want to call me back. But, maybe they are sick of dealing with me!!! HAHA. Just wish I could come across a low mile, local, 2006/2007. That red on in CO is just a bit too many miles and who knows what it looks like underneath.

I just picked up a '08 Sport last week for $29K and change; TTL out the door was $32K. I got $1K under invoice and 0.9%. I too had trouble getting some dealers to call me back with offers when they knew what they had to meet or beat. This is my first Toyota, came from Acura; maybe Toyota hasn't had to work to sell their vehicles in the past. I think since they are trying to beat GM in global sales they are trying harder to move steel off the lots; especially since we just entered the 4th quarter.

Yes, and not a 4x4 either as the op was asking about. But nonetheless; a sport with leather, roof, homelink, DRL's, DD cargo, auto mirror w/ compass and other goodies. Maybe not the best deal to the penny; but if she holds up like a T4R is known to do; it will be more than worth it in a few years.
