so i was doing some wheeling last night...i was just in 4hi til some of the mud got nasty and the ruts got huge...when the truck started to spin a little bit there was a ticking sound coming from the leftside of the dash and then vsc started beeping for the lack of traction...do those 2 noises go together?

Im pretty sure that's normal. I recall our V8 SE's doing that in the snow when we'd lose traction.

Yep, normal!

Sounds like ATRAC...the ABS system was pumping the brakes at the wheels that were losing traction.
