What are your thoughts about doing some sort of a rhino liner in the inside of your 4runner? Im talking about only doing the floor.

You will bump up the level of road noise considerably, unless you layer something sound absorbent underneath. It will also conduct temperature more easily than carpet. Nice to clean though. How would you preserve access to electrical wiring?
