There seems to be plenty of posts about putting newer 4Runner wheels on a 2nd gen, but there is next to nothing about changing the rims on a 1st gen. I have been looking for some newer 4Runner wheels and tires for my '88 4X4 4Runner but I can't find information about the hub bore for 1st gen.
- bolt pattern, 6 X 5.5"/139.7mm
- size, not really worried but want clost to stock hieght and width
- offset, don't know what to go with or if newer 4Runner rims will work on a first gen
- hub bore???
Hub bore is what I'm most worried about. Can you take wheels from a newer 4Runner and put them on an '88 4X4 with manual hubs. It can't be that easy because there is too many wheels for sale on this site that obviously have the right bolt pattern as all 4Runners are the same. For example, these nice ones of mikenjenn123
