Quick body lift question

I have been looking at body lifts to get a little more height. I ran a body lift on one of my previous jeeps I swore I wouldnt do that again. The Jeep BL replaced the factory rubber body mount with a taller polyurethane mount. This caused the Jeep to ride and vibrate even worse than it did before. However it looks like the T4R BL is a spacer that is added to the factory mount. If this is the case then it shouldnt cause anymore vibrations then what are already there. I like the ride of the T4R and dont want to sacrifice it if I dont have to.
Any info would be great.

Just did a 1.5" Body Lift on my 4th gen, installed brand new factory bushings and had a buddy make me aluminum spacers. The vehicle rides and handles better than before (due to the new bushings), spacers are just increasing height and have no impact on ride quality (even at 1.5" the body roll was ever so slightly affected.)
 
I have a 1" 4Crawler...worked exactly how I wanted, for just enough room for 34" tires. Easy install...I upgraded to the HD hardware, so had to enlarge the bolt holes to 1/2". The pain was getting the spacer into the steering shaft. I played it safe and installed it, although numerous sources said it wasn't necessary for the 1" BL. If you want your truck to be taller, put on taller tires and a lift. Making it taller by adding a BL just to make it taller defeats most off road benefits.
 
Would a body lift contribute to the roughly 3" minimum lift without replacing UCAs? Sorry if this is a dumb question.
 
i just did my 4crawler 1" BL yesterday. easy install just slips above the existing mounts. definitely feels taller, but i need all the room for my fancy new 35s im getting in a couple weeks. The dremel and sawzall is ready.

Remind me, what suspension lift do you have?
Be prepared to cut! But man is it worth it.

front is toyotec boss set a 1.25" with a 2" spacer on top and uniballs ucas. the rear is the 2" metaltech LT stage 4. and trust me im well aware of having to cut and cut some more and even more. i had to help a buddy fit 35s on his 2009 taco with just a 3.5" lift. it was a nightmare but its so sweet now. plus ill be so happy to be able to climb bigger stairsteps than ~3.5ft that im limited to now. i just wonder how my elocker is gonna like those big ol sun guns.

P.S. im having my front bumper fabbed up hopefully next week, so that should help take care of some cutting. so illl just have to hack the fenders and body mount to nonexistence

You could relocate the body mount like they do on the Tacoma. You will also be spending time hammering the pinch weld flat, then bashing it back about an inch. Lol. On the back bumper I had to trim the bumper cover about 2 inches.

oh i will. and ive already stocked up on blades, cutting wheels and BFHs. and having adjustable links helps with moving the axle around so hopefully i shouldnt have to hack the rear up too much. the front is gonna be a chore

Glad to see you're prepared to do what many complain or are intimidated by! You'll be fine...good cal on the front bumper...that will virtually eliminate cutting in front of your front tires, and the BMC is easy. I have a similar set-up with 34's, and the only rubbing I get anymore is the rear tire on the rear of the fender (mud flap). It's so minimal, I haven't dealt with it, but soon I'll shave a bit.

Hey Cruzado question...you say 35s are going to be mounted are you doing a rear diff swap or just going to leave it original.
 
with the CBI BUMPER you still need to cut, I have the shrockworks bumper and installed my ICONS, which size tires 34s or true 35s i have read there is a slight difference. I am also doing the 1inch body lift i have to install

for now im just gonna leave my 8" elocker. if it explodes ill go talk to ruffstuff or currie and get either a rockjock or lc 9.5" rear end. the front end is what im most worried about though. but screw it if it goes boom, just make it bigger

Hey, I'm about to do a 1" BL also in prep to run 35's can you post up pics of the amount of cutting that you had to do to make them fit? Thanks
