Quick help with winter wheels

A quick, definitive answer would be very much appreciated!

I drive a 2004 4Runner with stock 17" rims, OME suspension, and Michelin 265/70/17 MS2 tires. The tires don't perform very well on ice or packed snow. Also, my rims (after looking brand new after eight years of use) look terrible after one winter in Bozeman, MT.

Thus, I am picking up a set of dedicated winter tires and cheap wheels. The OEM rims on my 4Runner are 17 x 7.5

Will any rim the same size work? I want to pick these up:

What should I look for when buying rims?

They will probably work, but I would suggest that the steel wheels will be hard to keep from rusting in the northern winters. I picked up a set of oem 4Runner 16" steel wheels for my '03 for winter use, and after just two years, they were pretty badly rusted. I then managed to find a used set of '02 4Runner 16 ' alloys, which fit the '03 just fine. I am still using them. They do show some signs of winter wear, but nothing like the steel wheels did. I went with the 16" wheels, because I have the SR5, with the standard size brakes (so clearance isn't an issue), and there was a better selection (and cheaper) of tires available. I also like the little bit of extra sidewall depth that the 16" tires give you to protect better against pot hole damage to the wheels.
