Quick Mud flap rub question and rear coil break in?

I just installed my stealth 17" wheels on 285/70/17s and have caster of 4.24 degrees. Lift is 2.5" King with SPC UCAs. I have significant rub at the body mount/rear of front fender area.

Is is safe to assume I will need to remove that mud flap? I saw little improvement with a heat gun, but could get more aggressive.

If I remove, is there downside to think about with it's removal, or is it just cosmetic?

I'm hoping to avoid a body mount chop, but will need to see how much room is created if I remove the frond mud flap . Any input appreciated.

Rear Coils: Those of you that installed stiffer rear coils, I went ot 440lb OMEs, but the rear is way higher than the front. The fender height difference is 4"
Do these coils break in and sag more after a few weeks? If so, how much?

There is a vid on YouTube showing a method of drilling two holes in the mudflap and passing a ziptie through the frame behind to pull the flap high spot further to the rear. It worked for me. YMMV.
