Quick question

I know the tranny on my 4r is set up to be a more luxury vs sport shift, furthermore I know that I can have the valve body rebuilt, but short of that, if I take the valve body off a tacoma, would that give me a little firmer shift?

I don't think so, no.

You can tighten up your kickdown cable though, made a big difference for me.

I think the average upgrade on the valve body is $500-600 and two main companies do them IPT is one and can't think of the other. No the Tacoma one will not change that shifting.

You can remove the shift body and shim the servo spring. It will give you firmer shifts.
