Quick question

So I just bought a 98 last week. It came with the factory key fob. The top button locks and unlocks my doors, but the bottom button doesn't seem to do anything...anyone care to enlighten me as to what it's purpose is? I was guessing the back hatch but nothing happens when I press it. Thanks.

Samething with my 97. But the remote was also cracked and pretty much just jerry-rigged with tape to the key. Bought an aftermarket remote on eBay for $14.99, works perfectly. Took about 10 seconds to program.

Pick of the remote? I think it's for the back window (if it's the same as mine). Try standing close to your car and hold down the button. You should hear a beep and then the window should roll down.

Its just another button to program another RS3000 system. So you can have 2 4runners with 1 fob

The bottom button does nothing. On the 99+ system the remote is different and adds the rear window roll down.
