so I'm balls deep installing rear spacers over my superflex springs, but my question is will the bumpstops fit ok back into the spacer? I can't push them down, but I'm kind of guessing the weight of the truck will finish the job, but I need some confirmation before I can proceed. here's a pic, you can see how the bumpstop won't fit back down all the way. thanks much guys

above it? are you sure? only reason I ask is because the spacer seats very snugly into the spring.. but I'll try it out. smaller lip up or down though?

Mine looked like this... Is there a groove on the inside? I would think it bigger end should fit the coil inside of it.

It goes just like you have it in the pic. I didn't have any issues with stock coils and Daystar rear spacer. The spacer has a groove on one side that the coil sits in. Refer to the last page of this install guide, it shows the proper installation.

Sorry to ask again, but what your saying is that the weight of the truck will push the bump stop flush with the spacer?

I'm saying that's the way it *should* go. I did a Daystar installation on another members 4runner, the bump stop fit right in without any issues. It took no pressure at all to get the bump stop placed into the coil/spacer.

Yea, there is a groove that the coil goes in. That's really the only thing I can think of.

Is this the Daystar 1.5" spacer? What's the part number?

yeah, in his pic it looks like its sitting flat. The lip should over hang the top coil from what i can see in the daystar pic.

not sure of the part number, but I know that this kit is for the FJ, I was under the impression that it would fit the same. Is he wrong and could this be the problem?

The small lip fits perfectly into the top of the coil which is why we have it that way. We are having trouble finding pics of a rear spacer install which is part of our confusion

Everything about the install looks to be correct. All I can think of is it being the FJ spacer vs 4runner spacer. I've not heard of any complaints on this though. The only Daystar rear spacer I've installed was the 4runner model number. I'm trying to think of someone who's used the FJ spacer, no names immediately come to mind.

Well, I really dont feel comfortable putting it back together with the bump stops not fitted correctly. Should we just put it back together in its regular forum?
