I took delivery on a new 2012 SR5 in classic silver in Dec of 12 (no 3rd row, no sliding tray)... After 3 months, I am loving it so far. A much nicer ride than the '88 4 Runner I had from '87-2001 (I've been driving an '01 Sequoia for the last 12 years, and an '88 4 Runner for 13 years before that).
One of the first things I did was order a full set of Weathertech liners... including the cargo liner. They all fit great, but the cargo liner left a ~6" gap of exposed carpet right behind the 2nd row seat (see the first pick).
While thinking of a way to protect that small gap and the backs of my 2nd row seats when folded down, I read a thread here that mentioned "Canvasback" liners. Although I didn't need a complete liner set (I had the Weathertech liner), I e-mailed Canvasback about making a custom covering for the small (43.5" x 5.5") gap, as well as getting just the 2nd row seat back covers from the SR5 set. After a few e-mails back and forth with Pete @ Canvasback, I called in an order (to Brook... we had a nice chat)... and rec'd my "custom order" a week later to the day. Cost was ~1/2 that of a full liner set for the SR5 from Canvasback (for the standard 3 piece seat backs for the SR5 plus the custom piece; a very reasonable price, IMO).
It fits great, and is just what I needed. So a big thanks to the folks at Canvasback!
So if anyone else needs/wants to protect the thin slice of carpet left exposed by the Weathertech line, I recommend Canvasback. They were a pleasure to deal with.
The interior is black/graphite... but the flash (and sunset lighting in the second image) distort the colors (lighter and warmer). I did not ask for cut-outs for the D-rings... I am sure they would have made them, the the extra labor might have added a little to the price. Here are before/after pics:
