Howdy.
1990 toyota pickup dlx 3.0 v6 2wd
I recently had shifting problems until shifting was non existent. I changed the clutch, pressure plate and master cylinder. Bled clutch and then tried shifting into gears. The shifter would not move even a bit. I split the case and everything looked good. All gears spun and it seemed that the synchros were working. All bearings looked good also.
I can shift into every gear with engine off but when I start the engine it just feels like the shifter locks up and won't engage any gear.
Clucth is good. I place into gear, press clutch then turn engine on. There is no resistance on the clutch untill I release the pedal.
So is this a sychro or gear bearing problem.?
