Did you regear with those tires? If not, what's the gas mileage like? Also, sweet ride man!

Thanks folks! Stock gears, mileage is pretty much similar to my 4L tacoma on 35's, Around 13-14mpg city. Some power loss but not too bad.

Way to jump in with an awesome truck!!
I always laugh when people think there's so much power loss with 35's. Maybe with the V6, but very negligible with the V8. Looks good man, hope to see some action shots down the road!

Thanks!! Yeah I agree with you, despite the lower hp rating its got lots of torque which is what we need for big tires. I just wish it had 2wd mode at times.
Ill get some good footage on the next few runs, the build has taken me less than 10months so far so it has changed rapidly.

I wanted to keep the truck mostly stock-ish looking, this was my original plan (and wanted to keep it) for a "mild" & functional build:

I wanted to keep running more technical trails and then this happened twice in a short amount of time. Bumpers had to go in.

Hmmm, may have to put some steel bumpers afterall... lol. You could paint them to match your body paint color and they would blend in a little.

Over the holidays, installed my new winch with the help of my good friend [MENTION=46329]blcktpgsr[/MENTION]
Smittybilt Gen2 XRC 9500lb.

Both balljoints on my SPC control arms had quite a bit of play in them after only 9 1/2 months. SPC warranted the balls and sent me replacements within 3days. A++ service.
Had our tech (from New Zealand) installed it and realigned. He kept calling my truck a SURF!
Hopefully these ones lasts longer.

Nice build man your truck is looking awesome! Do you have some more info on that rear bumper?Do you have anymore pics of it, I want a rear bumper but i don't like any of the options for our trucks that are currently available so this would be really great depending on pricing,specs etc. I'm sure you know when it comes to armor for our 4th gens were some what limited especially in the rear bumper department! Also regarding you UCA's you may want to look into upgrading or running some different ones down the road or different brand,uni ball etc ? I've heard nothing but problems from friends of mine who have ran them and others i've wheeled with and some on this forum about Ball joints and even some with the welds breaking! My one buddy is on his 3rd set of BJ's in just 2 years and he doesn't even wheel that hard so now he's upgrading to the same Camburgs i have. Again just speaking from hear say i've never personally ran them.

As far as the UCA's. I've ran uniballs on my tacoma, I hated the squeak. I had to eventually replace the uniballs on it after (2) years. Abuse I guess and 886 coils keeps the angle close to the max. I bought these specifically because I like the adjust-ability.

Thanks man appreciate it, It looks sweet! I have 2 other bumper options in the works but they won't be done for a while as i'm pretty sure they haven't been started yet.I really like yours though so i'm definitely interested to see the pricing and specs.

Yeah that's one of the main reasons i didn't didn't get Uni balls being in the north east with the winters and all the salt on the roads i didn't want to have constantly be rebuilding them. The adjustability on those are nice though, i just figured i'd mention it..
