Rack removal problem...

I removed my TE rack this weekend and the driver's side rear mounting hardware broke during the removal. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone and how they fixed it? The following is what happened:

Almost all of the rack mounting bolts came out as expected. When I got to the driver's rear mounting bolts, they were very tight and as I was wrenching on them, they seemed to skip and make a plastic snapping noise. Of course they then came loose and I removed the rack only to find that the little while plastic mounting tubes had broken off completely. This left 2 pretty wide holes (a little less than 1/2 inch) with no quick fix at the time. I will have to hit the dealer on Mon or Tue to see if the parts can be installed, unless someone had the same issueand found an aftermarket fix. For now I have duct taped the snot out of it to keep water and moisture out of it.

Pics below.
