Yes that is correct.
This is nothing new, 100k+ coolant intervals have been implemented for many many years now. Not just Toyota either.

To expand on that, it is 10yr/100k for the FIRST coolant service. After that it is 5yr/50k, there should be an asterisk or a note that explains that.
This is only if you are using SLLC (Super Long Life Coolant) or an equivalent (just because it says "Universal" does not mean it is compatible, you need to match it up with the SLLC chemical make-up; I tend to have to explain it a lot on the 4th gen so if you have questions I can answer them.

Yup that's the stuff. Toyota has been using SLLC in all their vehicles for about 10 years now.

Just use toyota long life coolant
That's why Toyota SLLC has been formulated to last 100k. My camry at 100k and the radiator internals plus fluid looks good as new.
Keep it in for 100k and you'll be fine.
There's predilluted which is pink then a concentrate red. For some reason the Red concentrate is labeled as a 50k long life and the pink premix stuff is labeled as SUPER long life and 100k.

Pink is premixxed and yea it lasts 100k no problem. I believe the red has a 50k life because it gets mixxed with water which may or may not meet toyota specs which is why the shorter life span.

Stick with the factory Toyota coolant and definitely don't mix standard green with the long life. A customer of mine had an independent shop service the cooling system in his Infiniti M37. In the process they installed standard green coolant in place of the Nissan blue long life coolant. The result was that when the two mixed it created a gel that partially plugged his heater core and caused it to blow cold air on one side of the vehicles vents when the heater was on. The repair even after multiple flushes was to replace the heater core. Very expensive repair...

Has anyone used Zerex Asian pink coolant without and problems arising? It seems to be a good percentage cheaper than the TLLC and available locally at O'Reilly. I will do a proper water flush before re-filling.

Is it really that much cheaper to justify? Even is it's half the price of the Toyota SLLC, what's the cost savings divided out over say 5 years? Just buy the Toyota stuff and you know your golden.

Not everyone has a TRD that is show worthy. Ours is a 2010 that is beat to hell and my wife rarely cleans the inside, but paid for. I have a strict maintenance plan but trying to be economical. $20 is $20.

Not sure where you are going with a show worthy TRD, but they all have the same engine. If $4 buck a year is worth it to you then roll the dice and put the cheap stuff in there. Your truck, your money.

My point is spending an additional $20 for a newer, nicer and more personal vehicle is nothing. I don't mod ours, just trying to keep it on the road. If the TLLC is the same price I will use that but looking online, 2 jugs of it is quite a bit more.
