Radio help

I hooked up an aftermarket radio and after the hook up I went to turn on my headlights and my lights throughout the car, like the panel lights and such, came on but the lights on my speedometer and those gauges didn't, but they would come back on if I turned the headlights off. So I ended up having to remove my dimmer gauge so that my gauges would work, but now my panel lights don't work throughout the car when the headlights are turned on. Any ideas on what the issue could be? And I would really appreciate some ideas on how to repair this.

Did you use a wiring harness? You have some wires crossed. I would venture to guess the illumination wire is crossed with something else.

I did use a wiring harness. I hooked it up and that happened. So I took it to Best Buy and they put it in and said that I hooked the illumination wire in and it sent 12v through my system but I don't have any clue what part of my system and they couldn't tell me either. Any ideas?
