Radio/HVAC controls blinking out

Hello all. Got an extremely stock 2013 SR5 that is having intermittent issues with the radio and hvac controls:

Every now and then either the radio or the hvac controls will randomly blink out. The radio doesnt necessarily "blink out" - just displays the 4Runner logo with muted audio. Fixes itself after a few seconds.

HVAC controls WILL blink out and I have to turn the fan control knob off, then back on for it to start working again.

Anyone else experience this? As with my Tundra, the forums are first and the stealership is the absolute last resort.

It's intermittent.. I have no idea.

Hmm... Just hope its not an ECM/ECU thing

You could pull the hvac control out and reseat the plug. Fairly easy to do... pull the center console side trim and then undo a few screws then pull the hvac controls unplug then replug. Worth a shot.

Happened to me on Tuesday for the first time blinked out 3 times within 10 minutes and hasn't since. If it happens again I will try Driver Deuce's remedy.
