Radio turns on automatically?

My guess is the cassette thing in the steering wheel. I usually have my radio on and occasionally while I'm driving it will just turn off. As if I'd held in the bottom steering wheel button. It has happened once while the radio was off as well, which freaked me the (*&$ out.

Mine randomly turns off on hot days and it's the second JBL unit installed in my truck (first one did it chronically and this one lasted 5-6 years before it started doing it as well).
Hopefully indicative of an engineering flaw with the units and not a bigger wiring issue.

Mine has an aftermarket Alpine headunit.

But when you start it up if the stereo is on Bluetooth and your Bluetooth on your phone is turned on, it automatically connects and starts playing whatever app/music player is running on your phone.
Only slightly embarrassing when you left the stereo cranked up and the 2Pac station on Slacker radio and are giving your mother-in-law a ride.

One of the buttons on the wheel (mode button maybe?) will turn the radio on or off when held for a bit. At one point my radio would randomly power off/on, I found someone had spilled something on the wheel and that button was sticking down a bit. Something to look into.
