Ram Mount X-Grip II for phones & tablets

So now it has been about 2 years. Are you still using this? Does it still work good? Did you have more issues with the Wobble?

I would like to do this but wanted to make sure nothing has changed in the interval.

Sadly the wobble has come back again, I've pretty much decided to give up on the post mount.
I also recently switched out the X-Grip for the new Quick-Grip Wireless Charger. The extra weight of this charger seems to be making the wobble worse, and it's only been on for a couple weeks. Since I really like having the wireless fast charging and no cables to connect, being able to make use of wireless Android Auto from the aftermarket Kenwood. With AA I don't need to look at the screen, so I'm trying to figure out where I want to mount the new wireless charger that's out of the way on a regular ball mount instead.
I have decided I very much prefer the Quick-Grip style to the X-Grip because:
It's faster to put the phone in or out of the cradle.
The cradle doesn't accidentally push any buttons on the side of the phone.
The cradle is more secure and better protected from accidental bumps.

Being that the Quick-Grip has wireless charging, it's a no brainer if you have the ability to utilize wireless CarPlay/AndroidAuto.
As for other options, I know there's a lot of people who mount a Ram ball to the side of the radio bezel between the clock/MFD and the instrument cluster. I was thinking lower down on the center console, but haven't yet made the decision.
