Rancho Shocks

Looks like it's time for some suspension upgrade.
What do you guys think of Rancho 9000X front strut and rear shocks? They are adjustable.
Does anyone runs Rancho shocks? What is you opinion on them?

I found them to be a bit stiff on a Tacoma, but the new Runners are a bit heavier so it may be just about right.

I'm running the RSXs in the and they have helped take the harshness out of the rear after installing the Cornfed lift. I considered the 9000 series, but couldn't pass up the deal I got on the RSXs. The feel is slightly firmer than stock, but I like it.

What part# of your RSX shocks? Are you using them with Cornfed? Do you have any specs for those shocks?

Yes I'm using them with Cornfed. Part #s:
RS9000X - RS99777 F, RS99305 R
RSX - RSX17520 F, RSX17132 R

I used racho 9000's on an old ford pick up I had before my 4runner. I liked them alot but didnt feel that they were very adjustable. Maybe it was that suspension but I could barely feel a different between the soft and firm settings. just my 2cents

I did at one point, but didn't write anything down. Your best bet is to have your local retailer contact Rancho and/or order a set in.

The point is that I want to try them out with OME springs. Rancho is the same price as OME shocks (less then $10 more expensive), but it offers you ability to adjust the stiffness. Rancho website gives RS99777 and RS99305 for stock replacement. I need those specs to find out Rancho model I'd need for OME lift spring (1.5"-2" more extended on front and 2" more extension on rear).

Just order the OME and be done with it.

Adjustability.
Mostly I'm driving myself with empty truck. On trails - 2-3 people with 50lbs in the trunk. On expeditions - 4-5 people with 200-250lbs in the trunk and 50lbs on the roof.
OME front struts are N140S, but for rear they have soft N141 and firm N142. Which one to go? Never know... With adjustable shocks I can choose, plus it may give me some advantages on the highway and off-road, because it's not a compromise which OME are.
