Had a couple quick questions about some things on my 97 SR5 I just purchased.

1. I only receieved one key, and no fob. I've tracked down an OEM fob from a 97 Limited, I'm assuming I could reprogram it to fit mine, correct?

2. My side mirror adjustment only works for the left mirror, doesn't do anything when trying to move the passenger one. What should I check first?

I never had a factory keyless, but I would swear I've seen the instructions posted on here, or one of the other sites.

For the mirror I would pop the triangle cover or door panel (i forget where the plug in is) and check the wiring. If you are seeing power at that connection you know its in the mirror itself, if not you are checking the wiring or switch.

Just did the same on my 02 Limited but I matched up the code on the back with the one I was buying, that seemed to be the suggestion to ensure it would work. The instructions are fairly straight forward. If you also want to get a spare master key (I'd suggest if you only have 1) theres instructions how to program those as well.

The '99+ system is different than the '96-'98 system. All '99+ 4Runners have keyless entry, not all of the earlier trucks do. If you do have it, it is the RS3200 system, so look up instructions for that.

I ripped one out of a 97 SR5 (still have it in my garage). They are 100% different.
