Randsburg, Saturday January 25th

My buddy Todd and I are planning a day trip out there to see the sights. We're not 100% sure if we'll be doing any wheeling, but lunch at the General Store is on the agenda.

I would love to head out there but by then the wife will be 8 months along and she is on bed rest. There is a ton to do out there thats for sure. We were just out there (Cal City) over Thanksgiving. You can always go through Red Rock Canyon first then hit Randsburg for lunch. We'll be back in action after the little one is born!

There's really not much wheeling to be done immediately around the Randsburg area, besides just some regular ol' dirt roads, but if you're willing to travel far enough out, there's plenty of cool things in the area to explore. I grew up around there, so let me know if you want any suggestions. Red Rock Canyon is certainly one, although they closed Nightmare Gulch to vehicle traffic just a couple months ago, so that blows :smash:

I had lunch at the general store there about a year ago. It made for an interesting break on the drive up to Death Valley.

Shane, this is going to be more of a tourist trip than anything. If I had my way, we would camp out at Dove Springs

Good article about Randsburg in the L.A. Times today about how its become a hotspot for off-roaders.
