"Rare" Center console

So i'm looking to sell a few Toyota items I have collected since starting working on them, one such item is my center console. It is a dual storage console. I didn't think anything of it until I went onto ebay and was only able to find one like it. The ad glorified the console as "rare", which to him justified the asking price of roughly $410.

My question to you guys is, exactly how rare are these things? He says that they were only available on SR5 4Runners, which doesn't make them rare IMO. (kinda like the altimeter/clinometer).

I have attached a few images of my console as a reference. Its not in great shape but it can be restored. The PO had painted it, and as you can see it didn't last.

I'm not knowledgable enough to know if they were common on 1st gen's, but on 2nd gen's I'd say they were a bit rare. Most of the 2nd gen's (all of the ones I've ever come across in junkyards or for sale) have the rear heat that takes up the bottom of the center console. If I was still building one, I'd buy that from you and get rid of my rear heat.
That being said, I don't know how much it's worth.

My Gen2 has rear heat and itty bitty storage space. I'm interested to see what people say it's worth.

I think that one is rare in the fact that it actually has the correct lid/armrest. I have the dual console setup but with a 2nd gen armrest. A lot of the ones I come across have had the lids replaced.

I dont think they are very rare or worth an extraordinary amount of money. I paid 50 bucks each for a double decker 2nd gen console and a double decker first gen console both in great condition with original armrests. I think the the rare piece is an uncracked shift bezel for a v6 1st gen 4runner.

Rare console ?

The lid ALONE for that was selling for $150 (years ago) as it was leather (?) so i passed on buying one (they were still in stock!). I made my lid from another longer toy model which i cut and screwed on. The whole console shebang i have seen several places but not in such good & restorable shape as yours! Easy 2 bills for those who like OEM and stock stuff!!

Meh. You can get a Tuffy Security II locking console for around $230 which takes a day or two to install, and significantly increases usability for the center console.

The first gen SR5 has rear heater in the center console, I don't think you can install that one if you want to keep the R.H. Maybe the DLX models came with that center console. I don't know about the 2º gen.
