ratchet strap KDSS

What do you mean by slip indicator light? Are you referring to traction control light? The only wire I can think of is the abs. If that's the case, I am thinking it is coming from the rear. Did you loosen all the bracket bolts for the brake line? I also unclip the abs line by the caliper. This gives more slack when you're pushing down on the axle. I was always checking to make sure that never got stretch

I take it that when you replace the oem UCA with the camburg that you remove the brake line bracket and abs line. Which is why I don't think that's the issue

I feel your pain. Been there done that. The feeling of why the hell did I do this. If you put it back to stock it doesn't mean that the slip light will go away

The concern now is your camburg ball joint. You will have to take it apart to make sure it's not damage. You need to replace it unless it's fixable. I am thinking the spindle might have made an indentation or worst case the spindle itself is no longer symmetrical.

My apologies, having the jack underneath the lower control is the right way. It pushes the spindle up towards the UCA do when you torque it, it will squeeze them tight. It's early so my brain is fully awake

ToyRunner4Me- yes, i removed/ loosened all the bracket bolts for the brake lines. The light didn't come on until after the alignment so I'm hopeful once ball joint is tightened and new alignment is done the light will go off. I pray the ball joint and UCA are still good. Thanks again for all your advice/help

Just read the end of this post.. Doubt you have any real issues. There is often a need to zero point calibrate after an alignment.

If not that.. then a speed sensor wire, but this sounds like the zero point and is very easy. Just do a search. Many alignment shops know enough to do it for you, but it requires a modern rack to walk them through the steps.

I seriously doubt you bent your spindle or did any damage at all. Just tighten things up and be on your way.

So i just got it back. The zero point calibration cleared the code and no damage was done to the UCA. Thanks to everyone for all your help. The wife hates it so that means it looks good!

final measurements;
rear 41"
front 40"

Nice. I am glad all your hard work was not wasted. Are you running 285? How are your inner boot fins? Are they touching? When I install my icon, I had about 2 inch lift. I crank it another an inch. The fins on the inner boots are touching. I kind of worry that might be an issue. Thinking of cranking it back down. The fins weren't touching as much

Here are what my fins look like

I can imagine how hard it must have been for you guys to install your lift on a garage floor. I did mine on a lift and that sucked ass. Just wanted to say that I tip my hat to you guys. :hail:

toyrunner4me- here's a pic of the CV boot. Hope the angles are correct. I did put in a diff Drop.

Wow. Looks like the diff drop made a lot of difference. Do you recall if your angle was like the one on my pic? I was going to put the diff drop on but I here that it fixes the angle issue but could cause the front shaft to be affected. I show my pic to metal tech. They said it's fine but to keep an eye for cracks on the boots as wear over time

Hello, I know I'm a little late to this post, but I have a 2015 Trail 4Runner I am trying to put front spacers on right now and having a hard time figuring out the best way to work around the KDSS. The ratchet strap photo really helps, but if anyone has anymore tips or tricks I would greatly appreciate it!!

TIA
