excuse my ignorance but you were able to install these on a 2016 trail edition and now you have blind spot monitoring? All the wires necessary were already installed by the factory? I have a 2016 trail but its the "basic" edition

It doesn't give you the electronic blind spot monitoring...

...it's just that these mirrors have the little parabolic sections on the outer edge that allows you to see your blindspot in the mirror.

Has anyone installed these that already have factory electronic blind spot monitoring in their 2022 4Runner?

I assume there would need to be an extra connector on the Rav4 mirror to light up the blind spot monitoring alert light within the glass, assuming the Rav4 glass has this in the first place.

Check ebay. I just got these from Japan for $93 including shipping. Arrived in 5 days. Cheaper than any of the US vendors.

It looks like there are different part numbers for Rav4s with BSM and the other safety features that are new on some 2022 4Runner trims.

So far I can't verify if they are compatible or if they have the convex mirror in the corner.

They're also extremely expensive.

Does the light/icon in the mirror still light up if someone is in your blind spot? I didn't think the 2020s had the electronic blind spot monitoring system.

I found a part number for a later model Rav4 but I am not sure it fits and the cost was north of $300 each.

I think the aftermarket model I posted about should work. The seller confirmed it has been tested on a 2022. I placed an order and will report back how the install goes.
